Daphne is a 2 year old petite shepherd mix.  She weighs around 45 pounds.  She spent around 5 weeks in a shelter prior to being placed in foster care.   Daphne is a very social, happy-go-lucky girl and loves everyone she meets.  She is great with other dogs.  She does need a cat free home as she was a little too interested when meeting them.  It is believed that Daphne was an outdoor dog prior to entering the rescue.  She is quickly learning to become a family member. She will need reinforcement on the rules and a regular routine for housebreaking, which she is doing very well with.  Daphne is crated when left alone and is quiet in her crate.  She is so excited to greet people that she jumps up on them.  She is learning that this is not acceptable.  Due to her excitement level, she may knock little kids down.  Applicants with young children will be evaluated carefully prior to placement.  Daphne's energy level is in the medium category.  She will need regular and daily exercise.  Daphne will make a great addition to her family!  

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.  Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
