Andrew is a sweet baby boy. He was rescued from Detroit by a group that does trap, neuter, and return. Once they trapped him, they realized he was a bit naive for life on the streets. Andrew is very friendly and has slowly come out of his shell - from a cat who hides all the time to a cat who now lets you pet and hold him. Andrew would do best in a home with another cat, as this has helped to build his confidence dramatically (for instance, he sees that the other cats are okay with me petting them so he lets me pet him too). He acts like the little brother of the pack, loves to follow the others around and bump heads with them. Because he is shy and still learning to trust, Andrew is not really a lap cat; he could be someday. We are open to a foster or foster-to-adopt situation with Andrew too, if you want to get to know him over a longer span and see how he fits in with your family.

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to  Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.  Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
