Description:

Sterling is a confident and outgoing pup with a lush longer double coat.  He will need quite a bit of grooming to keep him looking his best, so prospective adopters should plan for lots of brushing.  He has stunning grey eyes, and can be quietly mischievous.  He is most likely to be found exploring wherever he can to see if he can find extra food or digging if he gets the chance. He likes his crate, and good training and management with lots of exercise will help him grow into a really great dog. He is a Norwegian Lundehund and Australian Shepherd mix.  He may be 60#s when fully grown.  He is fairly relaxed with everyone so should do well with older children( age six and up). An active home with a fenced yard would be great.  Puppy Socialization and Positive Training are needed for him to develop. No Electronic Fences or Tie Outs.

HDDCR requires a spay/neuter contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. We will hold a $50 deposit on top of the adoption fee until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog was spayed/neutered. The $50 deposit will then be returned to the adopter.

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to  Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a  $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee  to change information. Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
