Description:

Copper is a sensitive old soul in a young puppy body. He is a very sweet boy and will likely mature to be over sixty pounds.  He is a Norwegian Lundehund and Australian Shepherd Mix pup that would benefit from a home that is a bit on the quiet side, perhaps with older (age six and up) respectful and gentle children.   Copper is a guy who likes to sing so an apartment/condo would not be the best fit for him, unless doggy daycare is in his future.  Copper would do best in a home where socialization and positive training classes are planned to help him be the best pup in the whole wide world.  He is very smart, willing to work for food, and likes to be snuggled when he knows you are someone he can trust. A fenced in yard would be best for this guy, along with an older puppy sibling to help him learn about things.  He is usually quiet in his crate, when he knows it is bedtime or naptime, and should be easily housebroken as he is a very clean pup. No electronic fencing or tie outs for this beautiful boy.

HDDCR requires a spay/neuter contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. We will hold a $50 deposit on top of the adoption fee until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog was spayed/neutered. The $50 deposit will then be returned to the adopter.

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to  Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a  $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee  to change information. Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
