Description:
Annie, or as her foster mom calls her, Bouncing Betty, is an adorable Yorkie-Poo. She recently arrived after spending some time in an Ohio shelter. She was surrendered after her owner became too sick to care for her. Annie is about 10 years old, but acts more like a 3 year-old dog! She seems to have a case of the ‘zoomies’ and zooms here and there, and everywhere! Her idea of a walk is more like a jog. Annie is very small, about 8 pounds, but has a big personality and sometimes forgets just how little she is. When she sees another dog she wants to make a bee-line for it, not considering the other dog might not be so friendly. Annie lives with several other dogs, all larger than she, but she seems to enjoy their company and even tries to engage some in play. When she meets new people, she bounces up and down to get their attention. She is a happy little dog that loves to snooze on the couch with her person. She is very smart and learns quickly. Despite her seemingly boundless energy, Annie settles right down and is content to snooze when not on the go. Annie is potty trained, sleeps through the night in her crate, and is not a yappy dog. She has a soft, raspy bark and responds very well to correction. Annie is what we call a ‘door darter’ and will run out the door the moment it is opened. With her small size, she can slip right past a person without them realizing it. Although she is working on patiently waiting for the okay to go out the door, she should always be on a leash before a door is opened ‘just in case’. Annie has several sebaceous cysts [non-cancerous] on her back. They are more noticeable now because she was shaved when she entered the shelter, but as her fur grows out will be less visible. Overall, Annie is in good health for her age. She is UTD on vaccines, spayed, and microchipped.
Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information. Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
