Description:

Teton is a Male Great Dane Mix Puppy.  He is Fawn with a Black Mask and tail with white stockings. He is very energetic and SMART! Teton may be suitable for a home with older teenage children. Despite his size, Teton can be timid and unsure of himself in new situations.  He will need an owner that can guide him to be the best dog he can be through extra socialization and exposure to new experiences for his important first year.

Teton will likely grow to be 90 pounds or more. His mom looks like an Entlebucher Mountain Dog, but could be a hound mix. Pictures were taken at 5 weeks old.

These puppies will be ready to go to new homes AFTER November 16 but applications are being accepted NOW to find their perfect homes. They will likely be up to fifteen pounds at 8 weeks old. We are looking for homes with a physically fenced yard, owners that are willing to commit to socialization and positive motivational obedience training for the first year. No Electronic Fences. No shock collars, prong collars, choke chains.  Martingale collars and head collars would be acceptable.  These dogs would not be suited for apartment living. These puppies are sensitive, eager to please and very active. Did we mention SMART? They will need gentle but firm leadership and a lot of exercise. Children that are dog savvy and older than five years *might* be a good match for *some* puppies in the litter. Prospective adopters should keep in mind that some pups in the litter may reach 100 pounds full grown and may continue to grow until three years of age.  Extra Large dogs can easily knock over young children, and will require LOTS of food. Great Danes are protective and loyal companions, and usually make great couch potatoes later in life, but these dogs are mixes who may not slow down as they get older. Some dogs in this litter have very short coats and may require a coat in very cold or wet weather.

If this description sounds like the kind of adventure you are looking for, please fill out your application immediately and we will look forward to speaking to you soon about these amazing pups.

HDDCR requires a spay/neuter contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. We will hold a $50 deposit on top of the adoption fee until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog was spayed/neutered. The $50 deposit will then be returned to the adopter.

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to  Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a  $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee  to change information. Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
