Sophie Marie is a beautiful purebred cream Chow Chow.  She is estimated to be about 3 years old.  She was saved running loose on busy streets in Detroit severely matted, caked in urine and feces, starved, and with a very painful eye condition where the eye lashes grow into the eye. Her owners were found and sold her to us. They were breeding her and sadly her mate was hit by a car so they just continued to let her roam the streets until we found her.  

Sophie Marie is 48 pounds and has a petite build. She is a sweet girl. She is still learning how doggies should live and loves living inside a warm, clean house with proper food and medical care and lots of belly rubs. She is completely potty trained and does not destroy anything.  She is fine with other dogs and men, women and children. NO cats; she is a little too interested in kitties!  She also has a prey drive so a 5 to 6 foot high fence is recommended or she should be taken out on a leash as she is an athletic girl and can jump a shorter fence. She takes a little time to get to know you and would love to be your best friend and even your lap dog. She loves petting and is good in the car and loves to cuddle.  She would do great in a single or a multi dog home and loves her people the best. She isn’t a barker and is a clean intelligent girl. 

Sophie Marie is spayed, completely vaccinated and on monthly preventives, and is microchipped. She had entropian surgery on her lower eye lashes as well and is doing great. 

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to  Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.  Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
