Description:
Luna loves car rides! and walks, she loves to play with other dogs ( once properly and slowly introduced!) Can be picky about people. Luna sleeps in the doorway of my room, she says "don't worry mom no one is getting in or out while I'm on duty!" She is such a beautiful soul. Luna is not for a first-time owner as if you continue reading she has a few quirks, nothing bad but she should go to someone with dog and or Husky knowledge.
Update: Luna was obviously abused but she is still a very loving girl, she does have a mild fear of men but once she is no longer afraid she will relax with them, she has growled at a few men but I quickly give correction and remove her so I have complete control, she has never bit or lashed out just given a warning growl telling me she is scared, and as her mom it is my job to make sure nothing else happens. I know she will get better with time and patience. She is still very friendly and loving towards people, they just can't get in her space ( for some reason people seem to want to get in her face? ) as that is when she seems to feel threatened again she has never bitten or lashed out at anyone, just a low growl. Luna has already gotten better about counter surfing, I can tell she is eager to please and be loved that is what she needs for a new home, love and patience and a fenced yard preferably unless you are a daily walker. I should also note that Huskies are a vocal dog and sometimes her growl is not a warning growl sometimes it's actually a happy one.
I have recently found that Luna is a counter surfer ( my own fault for turning my back with food on the counter she loves cream cheese!) and she will steal my socks and shoes and play with them, but so far has not chewed anything up, I just take it away, tell her mine and give her one of her toys from her toy basket. Luna loves gentle attention as she seems to have been hit before coming to me. she is very submissive and gives you her belly when she meets you, it seems to be that she is nervous? She is the sweetest soul. I do not know how she is with cats as I do not have any. She does seem to follow her nose so she could have a prey drive but I have not seen it as of yet.
Luna is a 3-year-old Siberian Husky mix. She is good with both big and small dogs and currently lives with both. We do not know how she is with cats. Luna is house trained, crate trained, rides well in the car, and loves walks. She will make a wonderful addition to a family. Luna is UTD on vaccines and microchipped and spayed.
Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information. Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. ![]() Other Pictures of Luna - ADOPTED (click to see larger version):
