UPDATE:  Slater loves other dogs. He plays daily with 4 other foster dogs. He is crate trained and he keeps his crate clean.  He is not good with cats.  Slater is learning how to not jump on the furniture and to leave the counter-top alone

BACKSTORY:  Slater is new to the rescue.  He is thought to be a Coonhound mix, possibly with Plott Hound as his coat is mostly black with brindle here-n-there.  Like most hounds, Slater has a sweet personality, but is high energy.  He is big and doesn't realize his own size so may knock over young children, and certainly get into things sitting on the counter.  With an appropriate outlet for his energy, this happy-go-lucky hound will make some family a great companion pet.

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to  Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.  Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
