Dudley is a 4 year old Jack Russell Wheaten Terrier mix. Dudley was rescued from a puppy mill where he suffered abuse. Due to this he is a fearful, shy guy. When Dudley trusts a person he can be sweet and will seek out affection and cuddles. He will even sit on laps. He will follow the other dogs around in his foster home and likes to be around them. It gives him confidence and helps him feel safe. He also likes to play chase with them and run in the yard. He loves his toys, especially squeaky toys and Nylabones. Dudley only chews on toys and not things he shouldn't. He is not possessive of toys or food and will even let his chihuahua brother steal them right out of his mouth. He likes snuggling in bed with his person at night and this helps him bond to them. He is still skittish if he thinks you want to pick him up or grab him. He will bark when people come to the door or he hears them. He walks well on a leash. He is housebroken. Dudley will need a quiet, calm, home and requires a fenced in yard .He would also do better with another friendly dog in the home. In new situations and with new people he is fearful and will shake and is skittish. He will need an adopter who is willing to continue to help him as he learns about living in a world with people who are kind. He’ll do best with a person who will work with him and take the time to help him gain confidence and feel safe. It may be a slow process but a very rewarding one. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
