Meet Rusty, another of our newest residents at the Mikey & Me kennels for Happy Days Rescue.

Rusty is a 2 year old Dutch Shepherd/Lab/Pitty (?) Mix with a beautiful, brindled coat, and he weighs about 53 pounds. He has a loving nature and becomes very excited when you approach his kennel for a walk. Rusty walks pretty well on a leash and he very much enjoys his outdoor adventures. He is friendly with Louie, the other dog that arrived with him; Rusty has been non reactive to the other dogs in our kennels as well.

Rusty is up to date on his vaccinations, he has been neutered, and he tested negative for heart worm disease on March 4th. He will be given a heart worm  preventative monthly while under our care; Rusty has been microchipped for his safety.

Once the adoption applications are approved, I will contact the applicant that seems able to provide the best situation for Rusty; I will contact other applicants, as needed, until he has a new home.

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
