Chewy is an adorable 14 pound, 4-year-old Jack Russell Terrier / Chihuahua mix.  Chewy's owner passed away leaving him homeless.  Chewy is a sweet little dog that likes to be on your lap or just hang out on the couch with you and cuddle.  He enjoys playing with toys and going for walks.  He likes to sleep in bed with you.  He likes being outside on nice days taking in the sights and smells.  Chewy has some behaviors that can be challenging.  Chewy prefers to be the only pet as he does not like to share attention.   He can also be very vocal so may not be appropriate for an apartment.  He is working on house training, but still has potty accidents in the home.  Chewy has also had a couple incidents of nipping when something he valued was taken from him.  Chewy needs a patient, understanding all-adult-home willing to work with him.   Chewy is a smart dog, and having a job to do or an activity to engage his mind and body in would be an excellent outlet for him.  Time invested in building a relationship with Chewy will be time well spent. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
