Description:
This spunky, happy girl is super sweet and also a bit more on the independent side. She may seem shyer side initially and will need a family who is willing to go slowly and at her pace to let her know that people can be trusted.  She absolutely loves to cuddle and give kisses and is learning that people equal treats, yummy things and fun times.

Komi is doing so great with potty training and only has the occasional accident in the puppy pen. She will even whine to let you know that she woud like to go out! She loves to romp outside with a leash attached to her harness although getting her to walk in a straight line can be challenging- the world is just so big and interesting and she wants to see it all!

She loves figuring out treat puzzles and balls and will gently eat kibble and treats from your hand if offered.

Komi is being fostered around chickens, cats and ferrets and, when introduced slowly, does not seem to mind them at all.

This sweet pup will need a home with older kids in the house and a family who will work with her quietly and gently using positive reinforcement for desired behaviors. (She has had bad experiences with kids being rough in the past.)

She enjoys playing  with her littermates but really does not like other dogs trying to edge in on her space when she has a bone or other high value treat in her paws so any new canine siblings will need to respect her cues. If they back off and leave her alone when she asks them to, then all is good. (This behavior does not extend to people. We have been able to take anything from her with no issues.)

Komi responds really well to re-direction, squeaky toys and fun noises. She just wants to play and explore and cuddle with her people!

HDDCR requires a spay/neuter contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. We will hold a $50 deposit on top of the adoption fee until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog was spayed/neutered. The $50 deposit will then be returned to the adopter.

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a    $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee    to change information.   Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
