Hi everyone, Meet Sasha, our beautiful German Shepherd/Husky mix. Sasha is 6 years old, she weighs about 65 pounds, and she has a beautiful coat. Sasha is very affectionate and she only wants to be loved. Sasha bonded quickly with the adults in her foster home and would do best with children ages 8 and up that can understand when Sasha needs some space and quiet time. Sasha is heart worm negative and she’s on a monthly heart worm regimen while under our care. She is up to date on all vaccinations and she has been microchipped for her safety. Sasha has been wonderful sharing her foster home with another senior dog but she wouldn’t do well with smaller animals in her living space. She is eager to learn and wants to please; Sasha learns quickly and is very responsive to correction and training. As with most dogs, Sasha thrives when she has a routine that allows her to understand what to expect next. We are looking for an owner who would be home with Sasha more often than not. She can become anxious in a crate when left alone and she will thrive with consistent, positive, ongoing training so she knows what’s expected of her. Sasha will need daily exercise and she does great on a leash for walks, hikes, or even on a long distance run. She travels well in a car too. Sasha will need a 6 ft. fenced in yard so she can be outside when it’s nice and get some of her daily exercise on her own. Sasha does well with visitors coming in and out of the home but she will also be a great protector of her family, when and if it’s ever necessary. If you’d like to meet Sasha, please submit an adoption application under her name at happydaysdogandcatrescue.org. Once approved, we will invite you out for a Meet & Greet with this beautiful girl.
Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information. Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
