Description:

Meet DJ, one of our newest residents at the Mikey & Me kennels for Happy Days Rescue.

DJ is a very affectionate little boy, likely a Boxer/Terrier mix. He’s believed to be 3-4 years old, he weighs about 35 pounds, and he has a beautiful, reverse-brindled coat of black and chocolate brown. DJ was scared when he first arrived at Mikey & Me but after an evening of love and attention he warmed right up.   DJ walks easily on leash, without pulling, and he’s very much enjoyed meeting and interacting with some of our other dogs.

DJ has already had his vaccinations and his first Vet appt. is on Friday where he will receive booster shots and will be given a heart worm test. DJ and two siblings were found in a field, fending for themselves, and he was somewhat emaciated upon intake. DJ is starting to put on weight now and his personality is coming to life. He has his humble moments and he is clearly thankful for the care he is now receiving.  ❤️

If you would like to meet DJ, please submit an adoption application under his name at happydaysdogandcatrescue, org.

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
