Daisy is a 5-1/2-year-old Miniature Schnauzer.  She originally came from a breeder.  Daisy is a sweet dog but nervous and anxious.  She needs a very patient family without children, including children that visit.  Daisy is crate-trained, potty-trained, knows some commands and likes to play with toys.  When not anxious or afraid, Daisy is a loving, calm dog.  She would do best as an only dog, or possibly with another dog that is very laid-back.  She needs a stable, quiet home with low traffic.  She would probably do best with an adult female.  Daisy also has separation anxiety and will bark and howl when left alone for long periods of time so is not appropriate for an apartment setting.  She may benefit from anti-anxiety medication.  

 

Daisy will need an adopter who is committed to taking her on daily walks to ensure she receives adequate physical exercise and mental stimulation, as well as reduce her anxiety.  Also, consultation with a veterinary behaviorist and/or consider medication in the future should her anxiety not decrease in a new environment.

 

Daisy is in good health but does have adverse reactions to certain vaccines so has only received her rabies vaccine.  Daisy is spayed and microchipped.
