Loki is a beautiful Merle Great Dane. He is an enormous 1 year old puppy! Just think of all those puppy behaviors exacerbated by his size! In his previous home, they did not have the time to get him the training and socialization he needed so he is currently in full on puppy mode and is need of a dedicated and patient owner (as with all puppies ) to ensure he becomes his best self! 

Loki does know some basic commands but his manners go out the window when visitors come by. He will jump up to greet you, and he believes himself to be a lap dog. Loki is friendly with visitors and has had no issues with anyone. That being said, due to his size and his lack of manners, we recommend a home with no small children. 

Loki has previously lived with another dog and cat and has had lots of k9 visitors at his home. On leash however, he is very reactive to other dogs and has a very intimidating bark. This is another reason continued training is preferred.

Overall, Loki is a very nice and friendly boy. He wants to have fun and he wants to please you. He just needs some positive reinforcement and patience as he learns his way. 

As with all puppies and very large breeds specifically, the novelty can wear off quickly. Please only the most committed of adopters need apply. Thank you!
