Miriam

UPDATE:  Miriam started out a little scared and skittish but after the third visit she has come out of her shell.  She came out to see who was there and enjoyed pets after a few skittish moves.  She has discovered that she absolutely loves getting brushed with a "magic fingers" rubber brush and flops from side to side.  She has much fun with a battery powered moving cockroach picking up and carrying it like prey.  She will chase a laser pointer all over.  And when she's not playing she will sit with you and enjoy pets.

Meet Miriam, a tiny survivor with a huge heart.

Miriam’s story began in a hoarding house, where she didn’t get the care or comfort every cat deserves. Shortly after being rescued, she faced an even bigger challenge: panleukopenia, a dangerous viral illness that causes severe vomiting, diarrhea, and dehydration. It’s a diagnosis many cats don’t overcome — but Miriam isn’t just any cat.

With round‑the‑clock care from her devoted foster mom, Miriam fought hard, healed fully, and blossomed into the bright, healthy girl she is today. She has completely recovered and is thriving.

Miriam can be a little head shy when she first meets new people, but once she realizes you’re a friend, she melts into gentle pets and affection. And if you really want to win her over? Wet food is her absolute love language.

This brave, sweet girl is ready for a home where she’ll finally get the safety, love, and stability she’s always deserved.

Come meet your new best friend — Miriam is waiting to steal your heart.

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The microchip is transferred to the adopter once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a one-time $15 microchip enrollment fee.  Microchips are enrolled with AKC Reunite.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
