Smokey is one big fella who thinks he's a teeny tiny lap dog! He loves to climb in your lap and try to fit anywhere he can on the sofa. He came to us shut down and afraid of everything. Luckily his canine foster sisters have taken him under their wing teaching him how to dog and what it feels like to be in a loving home.

At first Smokey wouldn't go outside on his own, go in a crate or near new people. Now he loves to lay in the sun, play with his foster sisters, and most of all protect his humans. Especially his 6 year old human sister from her aunt and mom tickling her! He thought it wasn't fair that we both were tickling her so he had to join in on the fun! He's such a loving and sweet dog that still needs some work getting comfortable in most situations especially with a leash. But the amount of love he has to offer is unconditional. 

Smokey would love a big family to go to. One with kids and possibly other dog siblings. He will need a fenced yard as he has dug under our fence to go hang out with the neighbor kids and the leash is still not his friend. (We are working on it and hope to have him loving the leash like his foster siblings).

Smokey is UTD on vaccines, neutered and microchipped.  

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to  Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.  Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
