Description:

Minnow (or Minny or Min) is a perfect little lady, and is now ready for her forever home. She’s the total package in a 30 lb frame!

Minnow was pulled from DACC in order to save her life from euthanasia due to overcrowding at the shelter. She came to the shelter as a stray, so her past is unknown, but her rough start to life doesn’t stop her from giving out love. Her whole petite body wiggles when she wags her tail, and she loves to cuddle and give hugs.

Pros:

Housetrained, great in the car, great at baths, sleeps in her crate through the night. She is not food or toy possessive. Great at playing by herself with toys, or with you. LOVES other dogs, loves to zoom. She would be a great running buddy, but also loves just being outside and going on walks. LOVES snuggling with her humans. Perfect small/medium size at 30 pounds, awesome brindle coat. Super smart with training (and food and praise motivated), and has learned sit, down, and touch while at her foster. Likes the kids in the neighborhood she’s met, and she has also been cat tested and showed no negative reactions. Great at the vet (gets rave reviews everytime), and gives the vet techs hugs when she leaves. Up to date on all shots and spayed. She is just the sweetest, happiest dog.

The only thing she needs to work on is leash pulling on walks, because she is just so excited to be out and about, but since she’s 30 lbs, it's up to you whether you mind the forward momentum or not. Her fosters have started loose leash walk training, and she is an expert at doing it around the house and in the backyard so far, so it would be easy to continue this.

Minnow has been with her foster family for awhile because when she was saved it was discovered she had heartworm. She went through all the medical treatment while at her foster home, and is now cleared for regular activity and play again! She would be so happy to start her new, healthy life with her forever human(s), so what are you waiting for?!

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
